This delicious sauce was made for this year’s Poor Seminarian’s Cook-Off. The recipe is from the AJC many years ago and is a tomato-based, tangy BBQ sauce.
-1.5 c apple cider vinegar
-1.5 c ketchup
-.75 c water
-3 T dark brown sugar
-2 T Worcestershire sauce
-.5 t black pepper
-.25 t salt
-Cayenne pepper to taste
-In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients
-Simmer on low heat for 10-20 min.
-Cool & store in refrigerator; flavor improves with age.
