How We Can Help
Students and Writing Center tutors work together on important aspects of a paper such as:
Brainstorming topic/argument ideas
Developing a strong argumentative thesis
Organizing a paper in a way that makes sense
Learning grammar rules
Resumes, Cover Letters, CVs
Students will work with tutors trained by Sarah Carlson, the Director of Career Services, in order to craft the ideal resume, cover letter, or CV for internships, full-time employment opportunities, and further eduction.
The Candler Writing Center can now help you improve your resume! Before coming to visit, take a look at these two resources we’ve developed to aid you as you craft a first draft, so we can then help you revise it!
Resume Rubric: Use this document to guide you as to what should (and should not) be included in your resume.
Resume Template: Download this Microsoft Word template for a clean, simple document you can use to compile your resume and save yourself from having to worry about formatting and font sizes!
After you’ve put together a first draft, come by the Candler Writing Center so we can give you feedback on how to craft the best resume possible!
