Optional Meeting for Graduates - Join the Candler Registrar for an optional meeting and learn about graduation requirements on October 19 from 12:00 P.M. to 12:45 P.M. in RARB 252. 

Writing Your Way Into a Ph.D. Program- Join the Candler Writing Center for a Panel discussion about applying to Ph.D. programs on October24, 12:00-12:50 in RARB 252. 

Field Scholars Networking Night - Join Emory Global Health Institute for networking event to learn about funding opportunities for multidisciplinary teams on October 30, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM in Cox Hall Ballroom.  

CPE Information Session - Join the Con Ed office for a session about Clinical Pastoral information on Tuesday October 31 from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. in RARB 102. 

Interfaith Leadership for the 21st Century - Join Candler for a lecture and dinner with Imam Abdullah Antepli on November 1. (Register by Noon October 25)

Religion and Public Health Community of Scholars Reception - Join religion and public health collaborative for a discussion about the intersection of religion and public health at Emory on November 1. 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Rita Ann Rollins Rm, 8th Floor, Grace Crum Rollins Bldg, Rollins School of Public Health.   

The CREATE Conference - Join Emory Center for Ethics to the upcoming National CREATE conference, November 6-7, at the Emory Conference Center and Hotel. 

Candler Thanksgiving Dinner- Come celebrate an early Thanksgiving meal with the Candler community at our traditional Thanksgiving Dinner on November 7, 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. at Cox Ballroom. (Register by Noon on November 2)

Dessert with Dr. Rogers - Join the Con Ed office for desserts and an information session about Candler Advantage on Tuesday November 7, from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. in RARB 322. 

Still Reforming - Join center for progressive renewal for a national conference to empower church culture from 2 p.m. November 8 - 2 p.m. November 10 at first congregational church in downtown Atlanta, GA

Christian Unity Gathering - Join Christian Unity for their conference on Resilience, Resistance, and Persistence, November 8-9, in Washington, DC. 

Breaking Bread - Join the Office for RACE in a three-course conversation about racial justice over dinner, November 19 at 6:00 p.m. in Dobbs Hall Parlor. (Register by November 10)

India Evangelism Seminar - WMEI is offering a three-hour academic course Dec 27th - Jan 13th.  

The Mystic Soul Conference - Join North Park University for a series of education, practical, and interactive workshops on January 11-13

Journey of Reconciliation to South Africa- Journey to South Africa May 16-28 and learn about engaging in contemporary justice movements. (Application deadline is November 6)


Professional Development

For financial support to attend conferences and events, please apply for the Leadership Development Fund.

Global Missions Fellows - Global Mission Fellows is a fellowship program for young adults ages 20-30 committed to 24 months of service outside of their home context. Apply by December 2017 to begin in July 2018.

Council of Bishops - Council of Bishops is offering a partial scholarship for Seminary Students and grants for annual conference groups through their office.

Beloved Community Worship - Open to everyone, each Sunday at 11am in Cannon Chapel.

Candler Yoga - Join Emily Rivers for an hour long class in Yoga and Meditation on Tuesdays from 8:00 A.M. to 9:00 A.M., and on Wednesdays from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. in CC106. 

Sacred Sound Meditation - Come meditate to the soothing sounds of Tibetan singing bowl, Native American Flutes, Crystal Bowls, and Ocean Drums, Every Tuesday at 7:00 P.M. in Cannon Chapel.  

Multi-Faith Prayers & Meditation - Gather as a community of compassion to offer hope through music, reflection, and silence, every Wednesday at Noon in Cannon Chapel.
